This week's twist is all about distressing and embossing.

BERTHA

Journaling:
A youthful Bertha, before she became renowned
as Bertha Hansbury, concert pianist and later as
Mrs. Bertha Hansbury Phillips, wife, mother,
grandmother and a series of other relationships
that endured her to all who knew her.

Materials Used:
DCWV pattern paper & cardstock, Paper Pizazz vellum,Colorbok chipboards, Making Memories brads, Ranger distress ink & achival sepia, Stampendous embossing powder, Embossing heat tool, Andirondack cranberry alcohol ink, Colorbox pigment ink, Marvy Uchida brush marker, Craft Smart dye-based black ink.

Process:
I inked the surface of the torn white paper with Ranger distress ink (vintage photo), inked the edges of the black & white photo then, adhered it to the three distressed layers of paper, then I adhered the inked heart and the covered-inked chipboard tag title “BERTHA” with brads on the lower left side of the photo; attached the three hand-made chalked paper flowers with brads on the upper left side of the photo, decorated with hand swirls using dye base brush marker and embossed it using clear opaque embossing powder. Finally, I glued the torn-inked journalized vellum paper.
